Luca Nardi prosegue il suo cammino nelle qualificazioni dell’ATP 500 di Doha. Il tennista italiano, numero 83 del mondo e terza testa di serie del tabellone cadetto, ha superato in maniera convincente il giapponese Yasutaka Uchiyama, numero 157 ATP, con il punteggio di 6-4 6-4.
Nel primo confronto diretto tra i due giocatori, Nardi ha mostrato solidità e personalità, gestendo bene i momenti chiave dell’incontro contro un avversario esperto del circuito.
I break sia nel primo che nel secondo set sono arrivati sul 4 pari.
Il marchigiano si giocherà l’accesso al tabellone principale contro il kazako Mikhail Kukushkin, 37enne ex numero 39 del mondo e attualmente posizionato alla 110esima posizione del ranking ATP. Kukushkin, tennista destrorso con una lunga esperienza nel circuito maggiore, rappresenterà un test impegnativo per il giovane italiano.
Per Nardi si tratta di un’importante opportunità per accedere al main draw di un ATP 500, categoria di tornei che presenta un campo partecipanti di altissimo livello. In caso di vittoria nel turno decisivo, l’azzurro potrebbe trovarsi ad affrontare alcuni dei migliori giocatori del circuito nel tabellone principale.

Un altro che non ha capito che bisogna invece festeggiare.Se andava ad arbitrato lo squalificavano di sicuro, bisogna dire grazie alla WADA, altroché…
